Home is Never Really Far Away
Written one drowsy summer after Donald Trump’s election and when our own government seemed particularly heartless. It seemed like we were too complacent and asleep at the wheel. At the same time, where else was there to go in such circumstance but home? Somehow out of all that I tried to write a song about the power of being in love in a difficult political climate. That, and the dangers of falling asleep in the sun and getting really badly sunburnt.
